Everyone has a Disney World favorite smell and this one is mine. While it’s your typical ice cream shop smell (it’s the waffle cone baking right?), something about it being on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street USA takes it to the next level.
We (and everyone else) often find ourselves at the Ice Cream Parlor in the heat of the afternoon. If this is the case, we’ll usually try to find a table over at Tomorrowland Terrace and combine an afternoon break with an ice cream snack. The tables near the Plaza are often pretty hard to come by and you’ll have better luck (and more shade) over at the Terrace.
If you’re really lucky, the Terrace overhang (where the desert parties are often held) will be open and you can eat ice cream in the shade with a view to Cinderella Castle.
So, even if you’re not looking for a treat, you owe it to yourself to at least duck into the Plaza Ice Cream parlor for a moment.
Smells are free, after all.
